Deborah A. Henry, Leavenworth, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020, from smoke inhalation at her home.

Deborah was born Dec. 14, 1959 in Mojave Desert, California, the daughter of Billie Henry and Frankie Stewart. Deborah was lovingly known as Ms. Deb, Dragon Lady and Gun smoke.

Deborah was a long time resident of Leavenworth, she retired from The Department of Veteran’s Affairs. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and loved fishing.

Deborah is survived by four children; Marcus Henry, Kansas City, Kansas, Frankie Henry, James Henry and Ruth Henry, all of Leavenworth, seven grandchildren, Leavenworth, sister, Zenja Henry-Owens, Colorado and brother, Mozell Williams Jr., Leavenworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Bailey, brother, Eric Henry and sister, Millie Henry.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Leavenworth Catholic Charities, Leavenworth Fire Department and Leavenworth Red Cross.

Due to the Coronavirus a scattering and memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to E.S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel, Inc. Kansas City, Missouri.
