James (Jamie) Bradley Ponton, 61, died on Aug. 30, 2020. Jamie spent his final hours surrounded by family who wished him well on his journey to meet up with his mother, Nancy (Bradley) Ponton and great niece, Alivia Burgess.


A Lansing, Kansas resident. Graduated Lansing High School and Kansas City Kansas Community College. He was a security/screener at Kansas City International Airport for 24 years and then went to security at the Hillshire/Tyson Plant in Kansas City, Kansas.


Jamie leaves behind a brother and two sisters, Mike (Ginger) Ponton; his sidekick, Kathy (Vern) Pfannenstiel, and Nancy Gay Mapes, nephews and nieces: Jacob (Natalie) Thunderbolt, James M. (Amara) Ponton, Sean Pfannenstiel, Heather (Steve) Stockbauer, Briana (Mike) Burgess, Ryan (Jessica) Pfannenstiel, Nash (Heather) Pfannenstiel, Jace (Bethany Schulz) Pfannenstiel, Anita (Angie) Mapes, and Christopher Mapes. As well as numerous great nephews and nieces.


He will be greatly missed!
