Delbert Wayne Terry, 81, McLouth, Kansas, passed away Friday October 9, 2020 at the F.W. Houston Memorial Hospital in Winchester, Kansas.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday October 14, 2020 at Eagle Cemetery, Tonganoxie. The family will receive friends at the cemetery starting at 10 a.m.
Delbert was born February 15, 1939 in Buffalo, Kansas, the son of Dewey and Anna (Williams) Terry. He was a 1957 graduate of McLouth High School. He worked at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas. Then He worked as a supervisor for PraxAir, Kansas City, Missouri, until his retirement in 2012, staying on, and helping out for several years after his retirement.
He was a husband, son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and an all around amazing, loyal man to all who knew and loved him. He was a man of few words, but had the largest heart, especially for his children and grandchildren. Delbert raised his family in McLouth, Kansas.
He was united in marriage on October 7, 1994 in Oskaloosa, Kansas to Joyce (Wager) Terry; she survives of the home. All of Delbert’s family is very hurt by the loss of his amazing soul, but are filled with joy knowing he lived a full life. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank and Cecil; sisters Rita Johnson, and Lyla George; and his grandson Sam Bundy.
Other survivors include; two sons, Delbert W. Terry, Jr, Topeka, Kansas; Darren Terry; two daughters, Wendy (Donald) Bundy, Tonganoxie, Kansas; Sheryl Garcia, Overland Park, Kansas; one brother, Jerry (Janie) Terry; one sister, Donna Kampfer, Lawrence, Kansas; 12 grandchildren (1 preceded in death); and 24 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
