Michael (Mike) Heintzelman, formerly of Leavenworth, passed away at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California on Oct. 6, 2020.
Mike was born on July 1, 1947 to parents Edwin and Edith Overfield Heintzelman. He was the youngest of five.
Mike attended Immaculate Conception and Leavenworth High School, graduating in 1965.
Mike joined the Air Force in May 1966 and served six years. He was a Viet Nam veteran, serving from Feb 69-Feb 70.
In October he and his future wife (Eileen) were married in Honolulu, Hawaii. Their home for many years was Santa Clara, California.
Mike worked for Pacific Energy retiring with 32 years of service.
Mike was preceded in death by brothers Ed, and David and sister, Vicki and his parents.
Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Eileen, his sister, Carol (Bill) Perry, Leavenworth, his sister in law, Jocelyn (Steve) and nephew, Chris Swanson, of the bay area in California. Also surviving sisters in law, Dee Heintzelman, Leavenworth and Judy Heintzelman, Morro Bay, California, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private burial is planned in Santa Clara.
Memorials may be given to Parkinson Disease Association.
