Violet Arlene Phillips, 87, Lansing, Kansas, retired Vice President of Commerce Bank and Manufacturers State Bank of Leavenworth, passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2020 of Coronavirus complications.
She is survived by her two daughters and son; Nancy Redding and husband Bob, Nashville, Tennessee; Toni Phillips-Smith and husband Tony, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Robert Phillips and wife Patti, Phenix City, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Phillips and two daughters, Frani Lake and her surviving husband Robert, Leavenworth, Kansas; and Cynthia Williams and her surviving husband Mike, Lansing, Kansas; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was also pre-deceased by her parents, Tony and Opal Clark, Odin, Illinois, and her brothers, Jerry, Keith, and Kenny Clark.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, services are limited to immediate family. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery on Nov. 16, 2020. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Violet’s name to the Sisters of Charity, Leavenworth, Kansas, or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
