Andree Simone Marcellis Kennedy, 80, Horton, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020 at the Hiawatha Community Hospital. She was born on Oct. 9, 1940 in Saint-Mhiel, France, the daughter of Marcel Germai and Marguerite Augustine Watrin Humbert. Andree worked as a correction officer for the department of corrections in Lansing, Kansas for over 31 years before retiring. She loved quilting, knitting, was an avid KU fan and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In March of 1960 she married Francis B. Kennedy Sr. He preceded her in death. Survivors include four sons, Andrew (Julia) Kennedy, Leavenworth, Kansas, James (Beth) Kennedy, Leavenworth, Kansas, Robert (Cathy) Kennedy, Elko, Nevada and Tom Kennedy, Leavenworth, Kansas; stepson, John (Juliet) Kennedy, Marysville, California; stepdaughter, Elizabeth (Ron) Burnett, Lansing, Kansas; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Donna Kennedy, Colvis, California; nephew, Serge Aubrion, Metz, France.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Francois and Eugene Aubrion, step son, Francis Kennedy Jr. and a nephew, Didier Aubrion.
