Bill Stout Sr., 77, formerly of Leavenworth, died at his home in Lebanon, Missouri, Thursday, Dec. 30, 2020.
He was a 1961 graduate of Leavenworth High School. At LHS, Bill was a member of the ROTC rifle team and won many awards and championships for marksmanship along with his teammates.
In 1971, Bill enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was proud of his service to his nation and was a United States Marine to the end.
Bill was an avid sportsman. He made many trips across the United States and Canada hunting and fishing with his friends. He loved KU basketball, rarely missing a TV game and attended many games in Lawrence. Bill was also a St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys fan.
He loved his family, friends, his nation and his beloved United States Marine Corps.
Bill is survived by his son, Bill Stout Jr; and grandson, Tim Howard, both of Leavenworth; a brother, Joseph Stout Jr; and a sister, Pam (Stout) Templeton, Sedalia, Missouri.
