Judith Diane Schmidling, 69, lifelong resident of Leavenworth, passed away at Providence Medical Center Jan. 15, 2021.
Judy was born March 13, 1951, to Letha (Pat) and James (Lowell) Parsons. She attended Leavenworth High School and still maintained and cherished friendships from her time there. She enjoyed playing board games, being with family and chatting about anything and everything on the phone.
Judy is survived by her best friend and husband, Dennis Schmidling. Also, her children, Jeff (Sheri) Schmidling and Debi (Charlie) Mohan, her grandchildren, Jenna and Andrew Schmidling, Kassie (Matt) Davis, Kara Karnosky-Olson and Kaleb Karnosky, as well as her four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving siblings James (Marilyn) Parsons and Deborah (Jerry) Allen. The list could continue forever with the close bonds Judy had with her in-laws, nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends. To know her was to love her.
At Judy’s request, there will be a small private graveside service. The family asks that you spend a little more time living the way Judy lived. Smile at a stranger, make a couple jokes and appreciate the company of those you love.
Arrangements are entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be left on Judy’s online guestbook at www.davisfuneralchapelinc.com
