Virginia L. Meyer

Virginia L. Meyer was born May 4, 1930, in Easton, Kansas, to Claude A. and Flora Liebsch Robinson. She married Lloyd E. Meyer in 1948 in Easton, Kansas. 

Survivors include two sons, retired Col. Stanley E. Meyer and wife Chang Mi, and retired Lt. Col. Frank W. Meyer and wife Alison; two grandsons, William D. Meyer and wife Keri, and Neil A. Meyer and wife Tanya; four granddaughters, Dr. Vakara Meyer Karre and husband Dr. Brian Karre, Veronica N. Meyer and husband Nicholas Wiens, Shiloh M. Meyer and husband Christopher Ritchey, and Maria Fernanda Arnay; four great-grandchildren, Shea D. and Wren K. Meyer, and Vylah S. and Lincoln O. Karre; nieces Phyllis Gray Johnson and Patty Lou Humes; nephews Dennis, David, John, Charles and Brian Gray. 

She was employed at Whitakers, Parish Olds and U.S. Prison Credit Union. She served on the board of directors at the YWCA for 8.5 years, was a charter member of the Midway Chapter of ABWA and was an English as a second language tutor for several years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Warren A. Robinson, sister, Edith J. Gray, and nephew, E. Robert Gray Jr. 

Viewing will be at noon Feb. 4, 2021, followed by a service at 1 p.m., both at Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Northwest Baptist Church and Bethel Cemetery.
