LeRoy F. Sharp, 87, Lansing, Kansas, formerly of Troy, Kansas, went home to heaven Thursday, March 4, 2021, at his home.
LeRoy was born Nov. 21, 1933, in Troy, Kansas, to Kemper and Violet Irene (Edson) Sharp. He worked as a telephone engineer for United Telephone, Council Grove, and retired from Tri-County Telephone in 2005. He attended First Baptist Church in Troy, Kansas.
LeRoy married Phyllis Snodgrass on May 29, 1955, in Troy, Kansas. She survives of the home. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jerry and Lawrence Sharp, and sisters, Betty Snodgrass and Carol Williams.
Additional survivors include his children: Deborah Eidson (Dudley), Tulsa, Oklahoma, Douglas Sharp (Sue),Tolono, Illinois, David Sharp (Lela), Caldwell, Kansas, Deanne Bergman (Robert), Leavenworth, Kansas, Dana Sharp (Brenda), Fort Morgan, Colorado, 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Siblings are Melvin Sharp (Janice) and Ronnie Sharp (Gladys), both of Troy, Kansas, Pat Weber, Holton, Kansas, and Joyce Gray (Cary), Liberty, Missouri.
A funeral is Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Troy, Kansas.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the church. Friends may call Harman Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas, after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
