As the move to open the schools for the coming school year moves forward, please consider these thoughts. If a single child comes to school positive or anyone in their family is positive, what are the chances they will infect others?

If a teacher shows positive will there be another teacher available to step into that position? How many replacement teachers will be available or be needed — pretty sure no one has an answer to that question so how does a school District plan and prepare?

How do school districts cover the expense of additional classrooms so students are safely distanced, costs of additional teachers, any other unexpected costs related to opening the schools in these times?

With the President and secretary of education pushing for schools to fully open on time let's look at their situation. Does anyone believe any of the Trump or Kushner children will be attending a public school? Betsy DeVos (secretary of education) is an outspoken supporter of private schools and opponent of public schools.

Any chance anyone related to her will be attending a public school? The message sent is, "It is OK if we put YOUR children and your teachers at risk but ours need to be kept safe."
