Two Leavenworth players and one Lansing player have been named members of the Kansas team for the 27th annual Kansas vs. Missouri All-Star Game on June 14 at Leavenworth High School.

Wide receiver Andrew Ativie and defensive end Gabe Casmus of Leavenworth will be joined by Lansing wide receiver Calvin Thomas on the Kansas team. The team will be coached by Leavenworth head football coach Mark Littrell.

Pioneer Stadium will be the site of the matchup of more than 80 players who graduated this spring from the two states. It will be the first time that Leavenworth will host the game and the first time the game is back in Kansas after the previous five years in Missouri.

Practices for the Kansas team will be June 5-8 at St. Thomas Aquinas High School at 6 p.m. and at Leavenworth at 8 a.m. June 9 and 6-8 p.m. June 11-13.

“Leavenworth High School is honored and extremely excited to be hosting the GKCFCA All-Star Football Game on June 14, 2018.” Leavenworth High School Principal Christina Lentz said in a press release. “Our school community is proud of our Pioneer Stadium, and we are excited to be able to share it with everyone for a great evening of football.
