The Lansing Lions bowling team faced Atchison and Bishop Miege at Crown Lanes on Monday.
Lansing won on the boys’ and girls’ side.
The boys’ team scored a total of 2,372 on the day. Hayden Hurley led the team with a high series of 657. Cody Vander Staay scored 596, Garrett Carl had 541, Kenden Coleman scored 537, J.D. Brown had 452 and Wes Miros had 431. Hurley and Vander Staay finished second and third in the top individual bowlers behind Kevin Scott from Atchison.
On the girls’ side, the Lions scored 1,904. The Lions were led by Kyah Surritte with 574. Paige Sorensen scored 461, Cynthia Phillips had 451, Aubree Dutton had 360 and Jenna Hagan scored 297. Surritte was the top individual bowler with her score. Sorensen was fifth.
The Lions return to action on Thursday when they travel to Park Lanes in Shawnee. The Lions will face De Soto, Shawnee Heights and Leavenworth.
