Bowling teams from Leavenworth High and Lansing High traveled to College Lanes in Overland Park Monday in a tournament hosted by Bishop Miege. 

Leavenworth took the tournament on the boys’ side with a score of 2,426. Lansing was second with 2,300 and Bishop Miege was third with a score of 2,243.

Leavenworth was led by William Ayers with a high series of 663. Riley Frederickson scored 582, Tristan Smith had 552, Ty Richards scored 543, Nathaniel Rolon had 542 and Nick Hawley scored 505. 

For Lansing, Wes Miros led the team with 632. Cody Vanderstaay had 561, Garrett Carl scored 547, Kenden Coleman had 509, Dakota Sill scored 474 and Hayden Hurley had 466.

Leavenworth and Lansing took the top four individual bowler spots. Ayers’ 663 was the highest score followed by Miros, Frederickson and Vanderstaay. 

On the girls’ side, Lansing took the meet with a score of 1,982. Leavenworth was the runner-up with 1,821. 

Kyah Surritte led the Lions with 589. Paige Sorensen had 481, Jenna Hagan scored 456, Cynthia Phillips had 442, Brynne Qualley scored 425 and Aubree Dutton had 359.

Leavenworth was led by Clare Langfoss with 483. Chloe Herring had 478, Reanna Lucas scored 421, Brooke Collins had 400, Margaret Collins scored 372 and Rayven Robertson had 322.

Surritte was the top individual bowler. Langfoss was third, Sorensen was fourth and Herring was fifth. 

The two teams returned to the bowling lanes on Tuesday for the conference tournament at Park Lanes in Shawnee.
