The Kansas City Tornadoes defeated the Owensboro Thoroughbreds for the second straight night Thursday in a 137-102 victory.
Six players were in double figures for the Tornadoes. Chris Sterling led the team with 34 points, including six 3-pointers. Tavares Sledge had his second triple-double of the week with 27 points, 23 rebounds and 12 assists. Charlton Jones recorded a double-double with 23 points and 16 assists. Former Leavenworth and Saint Mary standout Grant Greenberg scored 21 points and went 8-for-10 shooting. Tyshawn Patterson finished with 18 points and Devonte Elliot scored 12.
The Tornadoes will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, to take on the Firebirds on Saturday and Sunday. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
