The Kansas State High School Activities Association announced the regional assignments and seedings for baseball and softball Wednesday.

Regional games will take place May 13-16 across the state.

The Leavenworth softball team is the No. 12 seed for East 6A bracket.

The Pioneers will travel to ODAC in Olathe to face No. 5 Olathe Northwest on Tuesday. The two teams will play at 4:30 p.m. with the winner advancing to the championship later that day at 6 p.m. against the winner of No. 4 Olathe South and No. 13 Shawnee Mission North.

In 5A softball, the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats are the No. 4 seed and the Lansing Lions are the No. 6 seed. Basehor-Linwood will host a regional Tuesday and will host No. 13 Bonner Springs at 2 p.m. The winner will take on either No. 5 Emporia or No. 12 Pittsburg at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Lansing travels to Spring Hill and will take on Sumner Academy Monday at 4:30 p.m. The winner of that game will take on the winner of No. 3 Spring Hill and No. 14 St. James Academy at 6 p.m.

The Pleasant Ridge softball team will travel to Maur Hill for their 3A regional. The No. 5 Rams will face No. 4 Riverside on Monday at 3 p.m. The winner will take on the winner of No. 1 Holton and No. 8 Maur Hill at 6 p.m. The regional championship will be played Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

In baseball, the Pioneers are the No. 14 seed in 6A. They will head to SWIDAC in Overland Park to face No. 3 Blue Valley Northwest Tuesday at 2 p.m. The winner will play again at 7 p.m. against the winner of Blue Valley and Olathe West.

In 5A, the Lansing Lions and Basehor-Linwood Bobcats will face each other on Tuesday. The No. 5 Lions and No. 12 Bobcats will play at 4 p.m. at Seaman. The winner will continue play in the regional championship at 6 p.m. against the winner of No. 4 Seaman and No. 13 Blue Valley Southwest.

The Pleasant Ridge baseball team is the No. 7 seed in their regional. The Rams will play at Sebetha against the No. 2 Sabetha Bluejays Tuesday at 2 p.m. The winner will then play at 5 p.m. against the winner of No. 3 Marysville and No. 6 Hiawatha. The regional championship will be played on at 5 p.m. Thursday at Sabetha.
