The Pleasant Ridge Rams track and field team traveled to Jefferson County North Thursday for the Northeast Kansas League meet.

The girls’ team took third and the boys were fifth.

Kaija Nutsch won the javelin. Emma Schwinn took first in the 100 and 300 hurdles. Schwinn’s 300 hurdles time of 50.22 is a new league record.

Avianna Nutsch, Kelsey Theis, Haley Homes and Schwinn finished third in the 4x100 and 4x400. Holly Oatney, Madeline Gould, Grace Weihe and Olivia Haack took third in the 4x800.

On the boys’ side, Keaton Comer won the high jump and javelin.

Hunter Wagner was second in the shot put and third in the discus. Chase Wohlegemuth was third in the 300 hurdles.

The Rams will return to action next Friday for their 3A regional track meet.

Pleasant Ridge will travel to Silver Lakes.

Field events will begin at 3 p.m. Prelims will start at 5 p.m. and the finals will start 15 minutes after the prelims.

The state meet is the following week at Wichita State University.
