K-State lands small forward Maximus Edwards
Kansas State basketball secured its second commitment for the 2021 recruiting class Sunday when wing player Maximus Edwards announced his decision on Twitter.
Edwards, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound small forward, tweeted "110% COMMITTED," and on his highlight video, said "Next year I'll be playing at Kansas State University."
Edwards, who plays for Our Savior Lutheran High School in Stratford, Conn., chose K-State over a list that included Seton Hall, UMass, Hofstra and Robert Morris. He will join big man Logan Landers, a three-star prospect from Cedarburg, Wis., who signed with the Wildcats in November.
"I felt like it was the best fit for me," Edwards told GoPowercat.com. "I feel like I can go there as a freshman and make a big impact.
"I just felt like the coaching staff will push me to be the best version of myself."
Edwards, who is not ranked by either 247Sports or Rivals, told GoPowercat that he will bring versatility to the Wildcats.
"A lot of intensity, a lot of blocks, a lot of different things," he said. "I can score on all three levels, I can play above the rim, I can hit the outside shot and I am aggressive."
