Friends of the Kansas City Costumers Guild visited the Carrol Mansion Museum on Saturday in full Victorian dress to help celebrate the 60th anniversary of the opening of the Edward Carroll House as the Carroll Mansion Museum, home of the Leavenworth County Historical Society. One of their members, Becky Gordon, was also the artist who painted the buffalo sculpture for the Spirit of the Buffalo" Community Art & History Exhibit currently being installed in Leavenworth County. The Ad Astra per Aspera buffalo will be installed at the museum. Members of the Carroll-Hunt family came from Olathe, Lawrence, Leavenworth, Kansas City, Missouri, and Flagstaff, Arizona.
