The public is invited to attend a Reading of the Names program honoring Kansas servicemen killed in Vietnam and Kansas POW/MIAs. Attendees will be able to help read, honor and show respect for servicemen who died in Vietnam. The program will start at 10 a.m. March 29 at VFW Post 56, 519 Cherokee St., Leavenworth. Guest speaker will be Gen. Bill Turner, executive director of the Kansas Office of Veterans Services. Omil Carraquillo, director of the Leavenworth National Cemetery, will honor Vietnam servicemen and Vietnam-era servicemen by presenting Vietnam 50-year commemoration lapel pins.
