Frank Paul Torres

Frank Paul Torres, 78, born January 25, 1944, in Elkton, Mich., went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2022. Preceded in his death were his parents, Peter and wife Inez (Robles); siblings, Louis (Debra) of Tennessee, John (Sandra), and William (Taryn) of Lapeer, Michigan. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon, sons, Frank Geoffrey of Weston, Mo., Ross Coker (Nancy) of Olathe, Kan. and daughter Kelly of Oregon; grandson Jared and granddaughters, Enya, Karla and Leah, along with his siblings Peter (Joan Ames); Inez (Marcel) Davis of Illinois, Mary Gaffney of Lapeer, Michigan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank, a U.S. Army veteran, served from 1965-1966 and in 1967 volunteered to serve in the Vietnam war. He attended Officer Candidate School (OCS) and rose to the rank of 1st Lieutenant. In later years, Frank worked as an instructor at Fort Harrison, Ind. and in 1983, moved to Weston, Mo. where he was employed at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. for USAFMSA, as a Senior and Supervisory Military Analyst until he retired in 2006. In his prime, Frank enjoyed fishing and coaching

In his prime, Frank enjoyed fishing and coaching softball and baseball in Little League activities, as well as coaching men’s baseball games at the Rod & Gun Club at Fort Harrison, Ind. He was also known for his quick sense of humor and enjoyed cracking jokes on family, friends and acquaintances alike. He will be greatly missed by his family. Frank was a member of the Christian Assembly Church in Weston until his passing. A cremation memorial service will be held at the Christian Assembly Church in Weston, Mo. with Pastor Tommy Weaver officiating on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 10 a.m.
