Laura Lea Jacobs, 55, of Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away on Friday July 1, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza.

Laura was born on October 6, 1966 in Leavenworth, Kansas. Her parents were Thomas Eugene and Betty Lou (Streit) Burke. She was a Leavenworth High School Alumni, class of 1985. She was employed at the Leavenworth School Board office.

She is survived by her husband Daniel Jacobs. She has two daughters Amanda Jacobs and Jessica Jacobs and family Jordan, DJ and Jerika. Her brother, Daniel Burke and sister, Susie Murphy and family Ellie, Colin and Ian.

The Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Belden Larkin Funeral Home from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Eulogies will begin at 10:00 am.

Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Hope Pet Rescue in Leavenworth, KS. She loved her cats like they were her children.
