People can purchase a chance to win a car while also supporting the Junior ROTC program at Leavenworth High School. The Leavenworth JROTC Foundation has organized a fundraiser that includes a drawing for a 2020 Ford Escape.

Students participate in Read to a Dog program at library

Three therapy dogs from Fort Leavenworth’s Human Animal Bond organization made a visit to the Basehor Community Library last weekend to help youngsters sharpen their reading skills. Twenty-four participating children were signed up for a 10-minute session and read a book of their choice to a therapy dog.
