The executive summary of the House Jan. 6 committee’s report documents how then-President Donald Trump was repeatedly warned by those closest to him — Cabinet members, campaign officials and even family members — that claims he had lost his reelection due to fraud were false. But Trump spread those lies anyway.

To the editor: What on earth is going on with the Lansing Board of Education? I have heard about other places where disgruntled parents are demanding that textbooks be purged of some materials which would make a student feel bad or uncomfortable. I think that is a very unrealistic idea.

Here are 11 to watch from Basehor-Linwood, Lansing, Leavenworth and Tonganoxie high schools: 105 Narissa Hampton, Basehor-Linwood A state qualifier last season at 100 pounds, Hampton started her senior year 9-0 before suffering two losses at the Ladycat Classic, where she placed seventh.
