Well into its second year of operation, Grocery Getters, a project of the nonprofit Northside Grocery Transport, Inc., reports a growing service that meets the needs of residents of northeast Leavenworth for free transportation to Leavenworth’s full-service grocery stores. However, the additional need for transportation is evident outside the project’s normal service area.
