Two people were taken to the hospital following a camper trailer fire just outside the Leavenworth city limits, a fire department official said. The fire was reported around 2:30 p.m.

Lansing board votes to remove social justice unit
The Lansing Board of Education has voted to remove a social justice unit from a high school course as well as materials used for the unit. Monday’s vote by the school board followed a parent’s challenge of materials used for the unit, which was part of a senior composition class at Lansing High School.
