College to expand to Towne Center in Lansing

Kansas City Kansas Community College has purchased 12 acres in Lansing’s Towne Center, which will become the site of a new college campus. It will be an extension of the services of the original campus in Kansas City, Kansas.

Basehor museum hosts annual Festival of Trees

The Basehor Historical Museum Society is ready to welcome the Christmas season as it prepares for one of its major fundraising events of the year, the Festival of Trees. Several local Basehor businesses have donated decorated Christmas trees ranging in size from 4 feet to 9 feet as well as decorated wreaths and other Christmas décor items to be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the museum.

Rose Marie May, 93, of Leavenworth died Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Twin Oaks Assisted Living. She was born November 22, 1928, in Leavenworth to Frank Sr.
