Events in the works to recognize Nez Perce

When I first arrived here in 1979 from New Jersey and started to work on the fort as the forester, one thing that caught my attention was the names of two roads in the floodplain, that is, Chief Joseph Loop and Nez Perce Way. When I asked around, I did not get much satisfaction, because those that I asked had no clue why those roads were named that way.
