Art space opens in downtown Leavenworth
First City Creatives, an art space for workshops and classes for artists, makers and creatives of all ages, opened in downtown Leavenworth on Oct. 29.
Lansing duo voted First Team
Lansing had two volleyball players selected First Team all-conference by the United Kansas Conference coaches – junior Anna Laincz and senior Skylar Weaver. Laincz led the Lions with 419 kills to go with 37 aces, 33 blocks and 248 digs.

Idon’t think it’s a huge secret that I’m politically involved in Leavenworth. I volunteer, I’m a member of some organizations and I have voted in every possible election since I turned 18. I’m also, by far, not alone.

The vast majority of candidates running to become their states’ chief election officers oppose hand counting ballots, a laborious and error-prone process that has gained favor among some Republicans embracing conspiracy theories about voting machines.
I’ve kept my word as your representative
