Older people fret less about aging in place

The older you are, the less you fret about aging in place. That’s a key insight from a new Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll, which found that U.S. adults ages 65 or older feel much better prepared to age in their own homes than those 50-64, who are mostly still in the final stretches of their working years.

Officers make extra effort to deliver groceries

Basehor resident Lea King has been using the shopping service Instacart since the pandemic began to have groceries delivered to her elderly parents as well as herself. Because it was convenient for someone else to do the shopping for her and deliver the groceries to her home, King put in an order and was expecting her groceries to be delivered around 8:30 p.m. March 21. She had placed her order that afternoon and was thankful that she didn’t have to get out in the rainy, spring evening.
