Stanley Wilber

Stanley Wilber, 88, of Leavenworth, died Sunday, March 27, 2022. He was born May 2, 1933, in Weston, Mo., to Philanthropy and Lena (Large) Wilber.

Terry Whaley

Terry Whaley was born June 12, 1953. He passed away March 28, 2022. He passed away peacefully in his sleep. He served in the Navy from July 16, 1971 until December 10, 1974. Terry was a family man, he believed family came first. He had a wonderful life, he did what he wanted to do. He drove dump trucks, had a tow service and worked at Fort Leavenworth.

Lansing City Council considers new aquatic center

If Lansing voters approve a ballot measure in November that would fund an aquatics center, Lansing City Council members have agreed on a potential concept, size and location. They reached a consensus at last week’s work session following a presentation by Jeff Bartley, Waters Edge Aquatic Design, who has been conferring with several city officials.

The Ukulele Club is back in action at the Council on Aging location, where they provide everything that we need including tables, chairs, a very nice large room and enthusiastic support from all the staff who say that they are glad to hear the sounds of the ukuleles playing again.
