Average daily COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations are continuing to fall in the U.S., an indicator that the omicron variant’s hold is weakening across the country. Total confirmed cases reported Saturday barely exceeded 100,000, a sharp downturn from around 800,850 five weeks ago on Jan.

I’m not sure if it’s the local realtors or what, but for some reason, there seems to be an emphasis in this area for people to have those perfect grassy lawns. As if you are not doing your neighborhood right if you don’t have a perfect lawn, especially in the front yard.

Betty Ann East, 85, of Leavenworth, KS passed away peacefully on February 17,2022. A devoted Mother, Grandmother, and friend to many she was loved by all. Betty was predeceased by her Husband Thomas B. East, her parents Waldo and Florence Briggs, sister Florence (Bridget) Poe, daughter Deborah Ruby-Hack and two granddaughters Elizabeth and Amanda. Two sons in law also preceded her. She is survived by Brother, Leon (Carolyn) Briggs and daughters Nancy Aldridge and Peggy (Elmer) Colon, 8 Grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
