New Basehor mayor unveils policy platform

After serving on the Basehor City Council for seven years, Dick Drennon has officially taken office as mayor of Basehor after being elected last November. He was officially sworn into his new office at the Jan. 10 meeting.

Lieutenant-Colonel Marvin Kim Decker, age 69, died on January 16, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War as an S-3 Operations Officer and was awarded a Bronze Star Medal and a National Defense Service Medal with two campaign stars.
