Dr. Martin Luther King was one of the great orators of recent history, and he delivered many memorable speeches. Perhaps his best known speech is his “I Have a Dream” speech delivered at the August 1963 March on Washington. That speech contained the famous line: “I have a dream that some day in this nation my four little children will be judged by the quality of their character rather than by the color of their skin.”
