Barbara Suzanne Ruge, 58, of Leavenworth, went to be home with the Lord on July 13, 2022. Barbara was born on October 5, 1963 to Michael Ray and Dorothy M. (Gates) Ruge, in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Barbara was excited & looking forward to becoming a great grandmother in October. She was an avid reader & loved her dogs. She proudly served as president of the Eagles Auxiliary 55. She is preceded in death by her maternal

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, J. H. (Ham) & Elvera Willey, paternal grandparents, Ray & Doris Ruge, father, Michael Ruge, and brother, James Earl Gates.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Gates, sister, Lori McIntosh, daughters Dottie Hill and Melissa Bradfield and her grandchildren Kelly, Lane, & Savanna Butterfield.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Monday, July 18, 2022 at Belden Larkin Funeral Home with Pastor Cape Rust, officiating at10:30 am. Burial at Mt. Muncie Cemetery.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society or Pilgrim Community Church. Services have been entrusted to Belden-Larkin Funeral Home.
