Betty Lucille Smith, 91, passed away Tuesday November 15, 2022, at LMH Hospital, Lawrence, Kan.

A celebration of life will be held December 11, 2022, from 2 – 4 p.m. at 304 Venue, 304 E. 4th Street, Tonganoxie, Kan. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Betty was born March 25, 1931 in Fairmount, Kan., the daughter of James and Edith (Maddox) Williams. She worked in the cafeteria at Tonganoxie High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Smith, and her son, Michael Smith. Surviors include one son, Randall (Yvonne) Smith, Olathe, Kan.; four daughters, Kay (Terry) Campbell, Basehor, Kan., Sandra (Lonnie) Smith, Anderson, Ind., Joyce Smith, Lansing, Kan., Kelli Chop, Overland Park, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.

The family suggests memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
