SPONSOR A HOMEBOUND SENIOR’S PET FOR VALENTINE’S DAY:
The Council on Aging has two pet programs to assist qualifying seniors with their pets. The Pets & Loving Seniors program (PALS) provides pet food as well as cat litter. The Pet2Vet program assists participants with veterinary care for their pets as well as transportation to vet appointments. Presently, we are assisting 127 seniors, 96 dogs and 107 cats in these programs. We are able to offer both of these programs due to the generous donations of individuals and organizations. If you would like to give a monetary donation to purchase pet food, lightweight litter and support essential veterinary care, please mail or drop off donations at the Council on Aging, 711 Marshall Street, Suite 100 (west side entrance). For more information, call Scarlet or Dawn at 913-684-0777.
