PUMPKIN FEST
The Department of Kansas American Legion Auxiliary Veterans Affairs and Voluntary Services (VAVS) for the Leavenworth VA Center recently sponsored a Pumpkin Fest for the 40 residents of the domiciliary. It included a pumpkin decorating contest with prizes, pizza, soda and filled trick or treat cups for all. The residents expressed happiness at the socialization time during the event. Special thanks to the staff at Denney’s Market, the VA domiciliary staff and the ALA VAVS representative and deputies Cherie Thomas, Linda Caudle, Linda Hardy and Cindy Newton. Linda Caudle

I have never given my son and his wife advice on child-raising.
