Lansing Boy Scout Troop 165 celebrated five scouts achieving the rank of Eagle Scout this year at the Fall Court of Honor, including Jeramia Burnett, Vern Whipple and Jack Whipple. Not pictured are Devin Alexander and John Goodman. Devin’s service project was improving the dog walking trails for the Leavenworth County Humane Society. Vern’s project was repairing and painting the pews in Little Stranger Creek Church. Jack cleaned and registered gravesites at Little Stranger Creek Church. Jeramia cleared and refurbished the Kenneth Bernard Park Pavilion. John created a butterfly waystation/garden at Richard Warren Middle School. Jeramia, Jack and Vern also earned a backpacking merit badge a r completing a troop trek in the Black Hills of South Dakota in June. The Lansing Lions Club sponsors Troop 165. Randy Brown
