Judge approves $2.46 billion Boy Scouts reorganization plan
A bankruptcy judge on Thursday approved a $2.46 billion reorganization plan proposed by the Boy Scouts of America, which would allow it to keep operating while compensating tens of thousands of men who say they were sexually abused as children while involved in Scouting.

We live in a world of hate and horror. The war in Ukraine, inflation, arguments over social issues, especially abortion, race issues, issues over human sexuality. I can’t speak for you, but for me this is a time of abject despair.
New county prosecutor promoted
law school as a nontraditional student at the University of Kansas School of Law. During her time at KU, McMullen received the Mary Ann Chambers Service Award which is awarded to the student who best demonstrates dedication to professionalism while representing the disadvantaged and devotion to the community through public service. She performed more than 100 hours of pro bono legal aid during her time as a law student. McMullen is a mother of three. Her husband serves in the U.S. Army and has served in deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
