Richard Thayer Schindling was born in Leavenworth, Kansas, on March 16, 1924, to Charles Adolph and Regina Thayer Schindling. He was a graduate of Immaculate Catholic High School in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Maj. Santty Portes Grullon of the Dominican Republic Air Force presents Leavenworth Mayor Camalla Leonhard a coin celebrating his country’s 74-year history of its air force. Lansing Kiwanis is hosting a legal delegation from Mongolia. They arrived Friday evening and were treated to a welcome breakfast Saturday morning at the Heritage Center. Saturday evening, the Kiwanis Club introduced them to an American tradition, tailgating at a baseball game. PREP TIME 0 HOUR 25 MINS 1 SERVINGS INGREDIENTS • 1/2 (8 ounce) package spaghetti • 2 tablespoons peanut butter • 1 tablespoon honey • 2 tablespoons tamari • 1 teaspoon Thai chili sauce • 1 teaspoon sesame oil • 1 teaspoon ground ginger • 1 clove garlic, minced • 1 green onion, chopped • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds INSTRUCTIONS • Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling, stir in the spaghetti, and return to a boil.
