The annual Association of Lincoln Presenters (ALP) Conference was held in Leavenworth last past week. The mission of the organization is to preserve the legacy of Abraham and Mary Lincoln, to honor their words and works and walk in their footsteps. Having been postponed twice, the conference finally took place in Leavenworth, where Abraham Lincoln spent five days on his trip to Kansas in 1859. The University of Saint Mary Journalism and Communications Club (JCOM) has announced its Second Annual Christian Yanos Excellence in Photojournalism Contest and Award Ceremony. Christian Yanos was a digital communications major and football player at Saint Mary when he passed away in 2018.
The University of Saint Mary will feature the work of 63 students during the End-of-Semester Student Art Exhibition starting April 27 in the Goppert Gallery in Xavier Hall. The exhibition is free and open to the public from 9 a.m.

Several members of the Rotary Club of Leavenworth participated in the recent Leavenworth Citywide Clean-Up. They covered 20th Street Trafficway from Spruce Street to Tonganoxie Road.
Rev. Tim Hutabarat and Southern Heights Baptist Church hosted their annual Easter egg hunt and festival Saturday.
