Wire reports Man sentenced for shooting at police during Wichita protests A Wichita man who prosecutors say fired at police during racial injustice protests in 2020 has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. Henry Parker, 30, was sentenced Monday on 21 counts, including aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer.
Leavenworth County has been awarded funds through the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in Leavenworth County. EFSP funds are federal funds made available through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency. Leavenworth County will receive $15,798. The funding is to be allocated and spent by April 30, 2024.
