Christmas tree farm ‘a great way to make memories for kids’

For many families, the holidays don’t officially begin until they visit Basehor’s Wilderson Tree Farm to get their freshcut Christmas tree. Owned by Dave Wilderson and his family, the tree farm began as a way to earn money for college and has turned into a three-generation, family- run business. The first Christmas tree was sold in 1982 with trees being planted each year to replenish those that are harvested during the holidays.
