When David Staresinic moved with his parents to Basehor in the 1990s, the family saw their new home as a great place to raise children while having the ability to drive a few minutes out of town to enjoy the beautiful countryside. A freshman in high school at that time, Staresinic has since put down his own roots in Basehor as well as a property he purchased five years ago that is not far away which has been used for everything from camping to an outdoor movie charity event venue. Most recently, it was used as a movie set with Staresinic having a role.
Voters approved recreational marijuana in Maryland and Missouri but rejected it in two other states, signaling support gradually growing for legalization even in conservative parts of the country. The results mean that 21 states have now approved marijuana’s recreational use.
