MEDICARE ANNUAL OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR 2023

Starts October 15th, 2022 and ends December 7th, 2022 Call the Leavenworth County Council on Aging to make an appointment to review and/or change your Part D Prescription Drug Plans or Medicare Advantage/ Part C plans for calendar year 2023. Medicare Advantage and Part D plan benefits can change every year- premiums could increase, benefits, and prescription drug plans can change. Take the time to review your plans and make changes if needed. We can also help you research Medigap/ Supplement plans if you are or plan to go with Original Medicare. Call the Council on Aging at 913-684-0777 to make telephone or in-person appointments starting October 15th.

SENIOR EXPRESS TRANSPORTATION

We are available to assist with your transportation needs for seniors age 50 and over, as well as persons of any age with disabilities in our accessible fleet. Services include shopping and business (bank/post office) trips once per week, and hairdresser appointments as well as transportation to medical trips and for work.

LET’S ROLL WITH SISTER VICKI

The Deeper Window Association, in collaboration with the Council on Aging, offers Let’s Roll with Sister Vicki, a mobile respite program for people living with early to moderate dementia. This nonmedical program gives people living with dementia peer engagement, community service, physical opportunities, and social and cognitive stimulation followed by a delicious treat every Tuesday from 11:00 am – 3:30 pm.
