Lansing City Council conducts hearing on budget
Connie Parish Special to the Times Lansing City Council members on Thursday approved what should be a revenue neutral budget for 2023, but they conducted a hearing just in case estimated revenues are lower than anticipated. Beth Sanford, finance director, noted that government entities have to conduct such hearings if their budgets exceed the property taxes produced last year.
Commissioners discuss proposed refuse changes
Last month, Leavenworth city commissioners were presented a task force’s recommendations for the city’s trash collection service. City Manager Paul Kramer said it is now up to the commissioners to decide what changes to make.
