Church members help stock local pantry

Once each month, Basehor United Methodist Church offers its members the opportunity to help stock the pantry at Basehor Linwood Assistance Services. Members of the church are encouraged to take a purple bag that contains a list of food and other items that are most needed by BLAS and return it the next week with those items that will be distributed to the families served by the organization. Known as Purple Bag Sunday, purchased items are then taken to the pantry and organized by volunteers.
