Clerk mails revenue neutral notices

Local property owners may have recently received notices of “estimated ad valorem taxes” in the mail. While the notices contain information about the appraised and assessed value of properties as well as proposed budget information for local taxies entities, the documents are not property tax bills.

Snow is a 10-month-old Great Pyrenees puppy available for adoption at the Leavenworth Animal Control Shelter. Snow is dog friendly, spayed and vaccinated. Snow will do best with a large yard. She is a large breed and still has some weight to gain. Governments ramp up demands for user info, Twitter warns

Twitter warned Thursday that governments around the globe are asking the company to remove content or snoop on private details of user accounts at an alarming rate. The social media company revealed in a new report that it fielded a record number of legal demands — nearly 60,000 during a six-month period last year - from local, state or national governments that wanted Twitter to remove content from accounts or reveal confidential information such as direct messages or user locations.
