Bodies of missing man, 3 kids found in Indianapolis pond The bodies of a man and his three young children who vanished last week after leaving for a fishing trip were found along with a submerged car in the pond where they were headed, authorities said Wednesday. The bodies discovered Tuesday night are those of Kyle Moorman, 27, of Indianapolis, and his children: 1-year-old Kyran Holland, 2-year-old Kyannah Holland and 5-yearold Kyle Moorman II, the Marion County Coroner’s Office confirmed.

State amendment is just a smokescreen

To the editor: Mark Twain once wrote “nothing so needs reforming as other people’s habits.” If he was in Kansas today he would modify that to “nothing so needs controlling as other people’s choices.” And that is exactly what the Value Them Both amendment aims to do. The Legislature wrote this amendment with the goal to abolish legal abortions in Kansas.

Video shows police waiting in elementary school shooting

A new wave of anger swept through Uvalde on Tuesday over surveillance footage of police officers in body armor milling in the hallway of Robb Elementary School while a gunman carried out a massacre inside a fourthgrade classroom where 19 children and two teachers were killed. The video published Tuesday by the Austin American-Statesman is a disturbing 80-minute recording of what has been known for weeks now about one of the deadliest school shootings in U.S. history: that heavily armed police officers, some armed with rifles and bulletproof shields, massed in the hallway and waited more than an hour before going inside and stopping the May 24 slayings.
